1. This is the essence of what I want to accomplish: I sell a product online. And I want to limit 1 (or whichever amount I set) sale to each city. That means, if someone from a particular city has ordered the product, everybody else from that city cannot order that product. 2. I'm open to suggestions. Give me your complete detailed proposal about how you plan to accomplish this task. 3. Here are some ideas and preferences of mine: * You can use GeoIP to identify which city the user comes from. I understand the limitation of using IP lookup. If we cannot identify the user's city, let him order the product normally. * If the visitor comes from a city from which no-one else has ordered, then he'll be redirected to the order form (which I specify) If he visitor comes from a city from which someone else has ordered, then he'll be redirected to the message that says Sorry! (which I specify) * You can use whatever programming language you like. 4. You need to create TWO versions of the script: Version A: Integrates with IPN from the shopping cart I use which is Plimus. You can find more info about Plimus IPN here: [login to view URL] After the user ordered, the script must then verify order, then update the city in our database. Version B: Rudimentary version. No IPN integration. No order verification needed. It's as simple as... if any one user from a particular city arrives at our download page (the page which the customer will be taken to after he placed his order), then that particular city is automatically stored in our database & marked. Then anybody else from that city cannot order. I need this rudimentary version as a quick solution when I want to quickly plug in this script to use with any shopping cart. In your bid, explain to me that you understand my project thoroughly and give you your detailed proposal and how you plan to do this project. Give me your credentials and samples. Canned response will be ignored.
