Had old site running Ikonboard [url removed, login to view] with over 18,000 posts in multiple forum, MySQL database. Pruned them down to 10,000 posts in a single archive forum. Download/Backup ran successfully until end, then blew up with a 500 error. Did this consistently after trying many different things. What I am now left with is about fifty txt files with all of the posts (data is all there). Ikonboard stated that it was blowing up because the host wouldn't create tar files. They said that these files would need to be created into tar files then uploaded into the new Ikonboard. They also suggested some other work-arounds, but they were all over my head.
I need someone to install Ikonboard on the Unix Server (CHMOD correct files), then get the downloaded text files to appear in the new Ikonboard.
These files will serve as an archive only. So I just need some way for my viewers to read them. Not respond to them. Just assume that reinstalling Ikonboard would be the easiest way. Server is Perl5 w/MySQL capabilities.
