Graffiti maker application - flash or alternative

I am looking to create an application for website, the concept is similar to [login to view URL] but there are many differences and the application itself is simpler. I'm not sure about using flash or not, so feel free to show me alternatives and your own examples. I want smooth transitions and wow factor Basically the user will be able to input a name, choose between a few font styles, move and scale the letters around, change colors of the fill and outline, and finally the user need to be able to save the result as .jpg The bid is not for creating the website, only for the app itself, I will provide all the design work needed you just need to worry about the programing.
