Currently, I am running a freelancer site using a different freelancer script. Due to poor vendor support, I am forcing myself to change the script to smarter freelancer script to get a better support on script issues. Obviously, support is a big sticky issue for me and as you can tell I am already paying twice for the same work. I believe, a good support is a pre-requisite to run a successful site. I have seen many failed sites in the past due to poor support model and longer downtimes for issues. Due to heavy competition in the market, site members, usually go to the competition with better support and response time and you lose loyalty from your members. I hope…I am making myself clear and the reason for the initiation of this project. Note: The smarter script has already been purchased. You will be given a copy of freelancer script to install on my server to kick off the project. You may find some of the info(below) redundant or un-necessary. But, it's better to provide more info than less. General Scope of work: (a URL to a doc will be provided in PMB which defines line by line changes required). Example site with similar modifications: [url removed, login to view] Post a project area modification page: [url removed, login to view] • I would like to clone my existing site which will include but not be limited to keeping the existing logo, project listing page with categories, icons descriptions section, Icon and currency images, open project categories, job listing area similar to how it is setup on my existing site. I will provide you (if needed) the [url removed, login to view] or any other files needed from the existing site to keep from doing the same work twice. The main html page of the existing site would require a minor change before implementing because one major function is not available in smarter freelancer script. • As far as the script customization is concerned, you will be “modifying the registration page” for service providers when registering by adding 5-10 additional entries/fields to input information (to show up on their profile page) about themselves, services they provide and information about their business such as years in business, license info, certification info, etc. Similarly, more entries/fields (at least 5) need to be created for service buyers when registering. All information entered in the registration areas should display on the profile page for both parties. • You will also be modifying “post a new project page” when someone is posting a new project by adding an additional 10-15 fields to input information. All info entered in “post a project” should be listed on the project page. This will help service providers to look at a complete description of work needed to be done before bidding on the project. • My existing site and script allows someone a selection of main category and a sub category when posting a project. I found out that smarter script does not have a sub category option. I guess, to handle this issue…we could setup a legend (bottom or on the side of the main project listings page) to show what sub categories are included in each main category. I also want to make sure that you provide a solution so I could easily create more sub cats for future additions. There will be total of eight main categories enabled for now. • “Escrow payment option” will be enabled for the site. • “Refer a friend” using script “referral system” needs to be added on the page AFTER signup and the follow-up email notification whenever someone signs up with us. • Signup with Paypal will be added for “payment methods accepted” (both parties) during the registration process. A code for the Paypal link will be provided that will direct anyone who wishes to signup with Paypal at the time of registration in a new window. • “Budget Range” column needs be added for the main project listing page. Example “main project listing page”: [url removed, login to view] Basically, a budget range is a “buy now” price as seen on eBay. • “Upload up to 10 photos” relevant to the project will be allowed and integrated. • “Smart FAQ” script need to be integrated. You will be copying all 7 main FAQ's categories and their subsequent Q&A from my exiting site. I will also provide you additional 3 main FAQ categories and their subsequent Q&A with text to in corporate in this section. There will be a total of 10 main FAQ's categories and their subsequent Q&A. Similar to scriplance FAQ section. • “Bookmarks us script/option” need to be integrated. • “Feedback us script/option” needs to be integrated. • “Contact us” will be similar to my existing website contact us page. You will add a drop down menu option. Menu will be “Support Issue”, “Need Help”, “General Question”, “General Inquiry”, “Contact Us”, “Sales”, “and Marketing Question”. The following links (with respective pages and text) will be created on the bottom of new site. In addition, you will be responsible for copying any text from the existing site to the pages created on new site. Note: If any of the above options requested requires an addition script to be installed. It will be programmer's responsibility to provide that script. There will be no additional payment for scripts that will be made later. A completed list of options with details, my existing website address will be provided to the programmer with competitive bidding and proper qualifications in PMB. Please make a note that I would like to have this project done in a week timeframe. Terms of project: Please make an important note there will be a penalty for not getting paid if you failed to deliver this project in the allocated time frame promised. No advance payment, No exceptions. I am willing to use escrow service for your satisfaction that you will be paid, but no games are allowed. All work will be done on my server, no exceptions! I will provide you ftp access, etc. You will support the work performed by you for this project for the next 6 months after the completion of the project without any addition charges. The response time during the period should no later than 8 hours and a solution (or a work around) should be implemented within 24 hours to get the site going. No tire kickers and time wasters please! I've already wasted a lot of time with some and have been burnt enough times!
