Not sure what you mean by "a 'catalog' of different files" but I hope you will likely furnish more info should you accept my bid for this project. I am an experienced Ruby on Rails developer and I would use Ruby on rails, HTML5, CSS, and postgreSQL for a database if needed (later). I would use Devise for user login/registration. I would use validation to ensure a user is signed in to be able to select from the categories. For your attributes they select, does that mean a type of filter/checkboxes that a user selects and narrows down the matches?(i.e. if the user selected red, fruit, it could return apple, watermelon, etc.?)
