This is a very simple project. We have developed a PhP and MySQL based search engine that works offline from local server installed on USB flash Drive. Now we want users to upgrade their local database (MySQL database) from our live server when they are connected to the internet and when there is an update to our liver server database table. We want the particular developer: to write an appropriate code that fulfills: 1. check the live server whether there is an update, show msg update your database 2. if there is an update update the local MySQL database and shows a message (this database is last updated on date and year or your database is up to date) Thank you

I'm confident that I can add these features. I would recommend that new live DB rows have a timestamp saved along with them; this way the live server can know which exact rows to send instead of sending the entire DB. Possibility of replacing the entire local DB with an entire fresh live download is still relevant, in case of missing data (current locally missing rows can't have their timestamp set properly on the live server and thus wouldn't be considered as new), but it should be the secondary option.
