Client (Javascript) - Server (PHP, MySQL) Integration

SUMMARY --------------- > Project Objective & high level requirements We are integrating SCORM (sharaeable learning content objects in flash & HTML5 version) with LMS (learning mgmt system). Objective of this project is for you to develop client-side Javascript, and server side PHP to establish bidirectional integration in order to exchange data. Assuming you have strong Javascript, PHP, MYSQL experience this should be a quick and simple project. Please don’t bid if you do not have rich experience in seamless, bidirectional data exchange between client-server using JS and LAML stack. > Technologies: Client Javascript, PHP, MySQL, Ubuntu Linux, Apache > Deliverables 1. Client side Javascript code 2. PHP code 3. Any libraries required to support code 4. Provide documentation for deploying in LAMP stack environment Will have to provide a daily status of the project to manage risks. > Timelines: We would like you to estimate duration needed, but based on our understanding of the scope we believe this should be done in a very, very short time. > Nice to have 1. Jquery and/or Ajax experience 2. A significant nice-to-have is if you can arrange for your own development environment (LAMP stack) 3. Someone in India timezone for better collaboration 4. Flash scripting DETAILS -------------- > Client side: 1) JavaScript to calculate/collect following a few data variables from a web page (html5 or flash) and pass the variables to a https url at some event a) A few user variables b) Time spent on each slide (calculated as screen load to click on next button) c) Session & audio variables – UserID, Sessionid, Debug information, other audit related info 2. JavaScript to fetch data from mysql database–from a call to PHP over https > Server Side: 1. A mini PHP application that exposes API - should send and receive the data over https – (which the client side JS should be able to access seamlessly i.e. url should not change) 2. The mini PHP application should connect to a MySql database to read and write the data to be sent / received by client side JS > Other Requirements 1. Seamless data exchange: URL should not change in user’s browser when a call is made from client to server & vice-versa 2. Data format: use of JSON or XML, whichever is better suited for our purpose 3. Optimized performance: This data exchange between client-server will be done very frequently (100 times in a single session). The interval between calls will be as low as 2 seconds and as high as few minutes. So it is important to optimize performance and speed. This optimization should include use of local storage 4. Local storage: Manage local storage for both Flash version, and HTML5 version 5. Exception handling on both client and server side > Other Optional Details 1.
