I can do the task, according to - provided route - screen capture upto 720p and 25 fps (and edit it correctly, avoiding completely from very crude breaks in the video along the path). Video format is h.264, audio is the widely accepted AAC codec. What I cannot do (was not absolutely clear about the task): writing a new program which you can use for multiple times at different inputs.
