We want to build a simple comparison shopping service to display and compare products. It needs to be able to pull in products from an XML feed (formatted for Google Shopping) and display them in a simple grid layout. Information shown should include: image, price and brand. Users should be able to search and product results should be displayed based on keywords in the product titles. There should be some simple filter options: brand, price, relevance. Each product would then be linked to an external product page on the relevant site, as provided by the XML feed. There should be two levels of user: admin (can log in, make changes) and user (no login requires, just browse the products). Admin features: • Upload XML feed URLs & preview uploaded data o All XML files will be formatted according to Google Shopping specifications • View feed last upload date/time • Schedule feed updates (daily/weekly/monthly) • Manually update feed • Browse feed data • View list of product resources • Search/filter products • Remove all/custom products for feeds • Delete feeds / brands • Add Promotion feeds for sales / promos ([login to view URL]) • Create a custom UTM for product click-throughs – for each brand, we should be able to specify a UTM code to be appended to product links. o When someone clicks on a product to the website link, we want it to appear in Google Analytics with its own source medium. There should be a basic dashboard to perform these activities. User features: • Search products • View product details • Click on products to take them to the product site • Filter products What filters should be used: • Brand/Seller • Price (high to low, low to high) • Relevance (high to low, low to high) • Category (based on Google product category) Examples for reference: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL]
