Code debug and improvement

We have api written with node.js. When the api communicate with the socket ([login to view URL]), it will have an error when the socket is not open. Nothing serious but we would like the code to handle the error and return a callback or wait to write when the socket is open again. This requires knowledge of node.js and [login to view URL] programming.
We also want to implement a mechanism so the api can restart itself, for example, once a day. This could be a few lines to implement the cron function.
Because the system is built on our local computer, you need to work on our computer.
This is a project requires a few hours if this is your field. Not a full time 40 hour/week job.
