I would create a copy of the database and vbulletin installation on the same server, do a test upgrade first to confirm everything works and see how long it takes. Then do a backup and work on the production site. Regards

Hi, I'm a Forum specialist and will convert your vBulletin latin1_swedish_ci database to UTF-8 charset and collation professionally. I have done a number of database conversions and forum migrations/upgrades and this is what my strength. My strategy will be: 1- Backup existing DB and Files 2- Convert to UTF-8 3- Import the converted DB to a new DB with UTF-8 charset & collation 4- Test the UTF-8 DB with a backup vBulletin Files (in a separate directory) to ensure all works OK 5- Change the LIVE vBulletin forum configuration to run with the tested UTF-8 DB 6- Upgrade to vBulletin v5 Connect For doing that, I need: -- Server cPanel / SSH (with root/sudo priviliges) login/pass -- Forum's Admin Panel login/pass Let's begin with the project.
