Project: Develop a website for the Digital Innovation Lab focusing on their work, vision, projects, partners and develop a platform for their communication.

Platform: Drupal

Details: Create a Drupal based website for the Digital Innovation Lab. The website to contain pages as per the attached SITEMAP and as per the attached design specifications. Logo specifications and color codes to be used in the Website attached too.

Logo: Second option in the [login to view URL] file.

Design: Attached is the home page design. Please follow the same.

Major pages of the website:

Home Page: To contain overview of the website including a brief, their areas of research, News overview, Publications overview, Log-in section and a link for people to publish content.

About Us: Section with detailed description of the DIL, their mission statement, Organisation structure, Opportunities available and FAQ’s

Our Work: Section detailing the work carried out at the DIL including research, proof-of Concept solutions and publications. Section to include drafts of documents, details of projects and presentations if necessary.

News and Events: News and events section of the website containing latest news and upcoming events of the department.

People: Section detailing the profiles of the team members , research associates, visiting scholars and developer team of the department. The section would essentially contain profiles of various people under various categories.

Partnerships: Details about DIL’s partnership with various organizations and details about the partnerships

Blog: Page with blog entries from the department regarding activities and various other projects. To contain an interface for easy blogging

Contact Us: Simple contact page with contact details and enquiry form.

Functionalities in the website:

1) Responsive development aligned to all mobile and tablet devices

2) Subscription functionality for the users

3) Forum for interaction of registered users (users to be approved by the admin)

a. To contain a profile section where the user will register and enter his /her profile details

b. Users to be able to post and download documents including word documents, excel documents, presentations

c. Integration of Google Docs or Sharepoint to be for data sharing.

d. To be a closed group where users can log in only after the admins approval

e. Majorly targeted at communication between partners and the department.

f. Flow of the log in should be : Log –in ; Profile section & Documents section, that displays all the documents shared by the other users. Different types of access rights based on different groups of users

g. Ability to create and assign users to different groups with restrictions to other group members.

4) Security to be of utmost importance. Since this will contain confidential research information, security should be of high priority

5) To be hosted on clients server

6) News and Events section

7) Blog section with easy access to update and edit blog posts
