Hi, this can be done with a lot of custom coding depending on the filetype you choose. I would suggest that the easier route is CSV if you don't have multiple field values since a lot of the parsing will be very manageable. If you go the route of XML which would be better for multiple field values, I can also do that but it will require more work. Particularly, the hardest part would be to insert the information correctly into Wordpress database. If its just simple standard information, this won't be a problem but if you have photo fields, the code will get a little more complicated because technically we'll have to import the files into the upload folder plus add it to the database etc. What you will also want to look at is the actual cron performance. For example, if you XML or CSV file has 1000 records, this could take a while to process. How big is your data going to be and how often are you going to be changing data in these files since this will affect the performance of the server depending on how much updates are taking please. Please let me know, I'm interested in coding this for you
