PHP, Javascript, Linux, PostgreSQL, Wordpress

I need a person skilled in PHP, JavaScript, Linux, Linux shell scripting, PostgreSQL and Wordpress to work as a client’s IT support and development person. The systems are Centos6.2 based. This role is and ongoing role with the work load varying. The client is very flexible. It would be advantageous for the applicant to be able to set up their on Centos development environment for development and testing. The applicant must be based in Sydney, or be easily able to travel to Sydney as required as onsite client contact is required, however much of the work can be carried out remotely. The task requires maintenance of a complex in house web based asset management application as well as a customised Wordpress web site. Exposure to SCO Unix will also be advantageous as the client also runs a legacy SCO system on a Linux VM. The code base has evolved over time and as such it can be a bit laborious to work with, however it is sound, well tested and stable. The code base is pure procedural/function and not Object Oriented, so if you want to work into a pure OO environment this is not the job for you! Good client liaison skills are required to establish what is required for all tasks. The nature of this work would lend itself well to an ‘old school’ C programmer.
