Protect mysql DB and server against attacks and SQL Injection (PHP Codeigniter)

Hello I have experience in pretecting mySQL DB and blocking by IP. I'm going to create properties file where we can write all blocked IP and will check user's IP. Alos will add mysql_real_escape_string( for all your queries + wil lcheck code and will do some improvements. Thanks in advance. I look forward for your feedback.
