We use daemontools on Ubuntu 14 & 16 to run our python services. We installed a new server 18.04 LTS and cannot get it working. Its all about setting the software to start at bootup. I need someone who can fix the following instructions so that it works. This should take no more than an hour and i need it done today. The downloaded file [login to view URL] contains an error. you need to add to the end of the statement in the conf-cc file -include /usr/include/errno.h before you compile it.
You will provide an archive file with the error corrected.
A modified setup script that will work on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and install it to run at startup
The script we are using at present is.
Wget htts://[login to view URL]
tar xvzf [login to view URL] &&
cd admin/daemontools-0.76 &&
cd package &&
sed 's|/command|/usr/sbin|' [login to view URL] > [login to view URL]~ &&
mv -f [login to view URL]~ [login to view URL] &&
cd ../command &&
sed -e 's|/command:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:||' \
-e 's|/command/svc|/usr/sbin/svc|' svscanboot > svscanboot~ &&
mv -f svscanboot~ svscanboot &&
chmod +x svscanboot &&
/bin/cp * /usr/sbin &&
cd ../package &&
cat /etc/inittab [login to view URL] > /etc/inittab~ &&
mv -f /etc/inittab~ /etc/inittab &&
mkdir /service &&
