Read the description first.

1)

a) Construct a macro that demonstrates how a word processing feature can be undertaken more efficiently if it is automated.

(i) Choose and state a text formatting feature, for example, underline text, embolden text, italicise text, etc.

(ii) (iii)

Construct a macro using the macro recorder. Link your macro to a toolbar button.

(iv) Word process a list of the steps that you have undertaken to construct the macro.

(v) Open a report that you have produced and demonstrate that the macro works. Selecting some text in the report and run the macro by selecting the toolbar button that it has been linked to.

2)

(i) Construct a macro that inserts a name and the current date into a header.

(ii) You should assign your macro to a toolbar button. (iii) Word process a list of the steps that you have taken to construct the macro.

(iv) Open one of the reports that you have produced and demonstrate that your macro works by running it via the toolbar button that it has been assigned to.

In Excel Sheet:

To enter data into an interactive form when they input client data. Using spreadsheet software, produce an interactive form displays the following requests:

• Input staff number • Input staff surname • Input task number

2)

develop the interactive form that you have produced for task 1 (excel). Edit the macro so that the following actions occur:

(i)

After a task number is input, a message box is displayed that displays the following question:

Would you like to input data for a client? (ii)

Underneath the message displayed in the message box in Task 4(b) (i), there should be TWO (2) buttons to choose from:

• The first button should be labelled Yes • The second button should be labelled No

(iii)

If the Yes button is selected, another message box is displayed that displays the question:

If you do not want to input data for a new client select Cancel

(iv) Underneath the question in the message box in Task 4(b) (iii) there should be TWO (2) buttons to choose from:

• The first button should be labelled Ok • The second button should be labelled Cancel
