We are taking bids for a company to manage our Azure server. This may include an initial migration of our web application and database to Azure. We will need your availability to be 24 – 7 (24 hours a day, 7 days per week). Our data is sensitive, so we will need to make sure there is a layer between your access to our data and your ability to perform some DBA tasks. Ideally you would have no access to our data, so a deployment may involve you simply instructing us on how to get our data into an Azure database. For right now we need to create a staging environment for user testing but will soon need to migrate our production application and data. Your support role will be network administration (Azure administration) which could simply include advising as to the best way to do something. Your contract will be a negotiated term with renewal based on performance and cost. An enforceable contract would need to be signed and notarized. As a result, we will need a US based company. The contract will be in place just to ensure no malicious act will take place during and subsequent to the contracted term. In other words, you will not intentionally cause service outages to create billable hours. Nor will you cause a service outage should we end our service agreement.
