Hello. It seems simply that the DB needs to have an service name assigned, this can be done within next hours if no underlying issues occur.

I am working as an oracle DBA in prod environment where we have arround 2500 database and 1000 servers, mostly are virualized. So this type of errros are very common in our live environment

Assumption that the issue is bringing the older database online "as is" and resolving connectivity issues. Assumption that there is no data corruption / unusable state of database instance. Assumption that there is a tested backup of the database instance. Assumption that the virtual environment platform has all network services in place. (other virtual machines in farm connect correctly) No data migration or application code changes involved in this initial phase. Likely that some configuration changes will be required.. I have 20 years experience with Oracle. Also on older versions / migration issues to newer versions and platforms. I will verify database instance and go through steps to troubleshoot the connectivity.
