opensource, and works on Linux/Unix
Our Windows Security Program , integrates with RT, but since our software
is running on windows, our customers need a version of the OpenSource RT to run on Windows. This will be a free distribution of Windows RT by us
An Outsourcer has already made an alpha release of WinRT 3.0.12. from other peoples work on porting Unix Rt to windows.
Current WinRT 3.0.12(Alpha) by us has the following shortcommings.
Installer requires 1GB!! of Virtual Memory to complete install
Current installer calls several seperate installers made by someone else.
These other installers have names like OIN and installs in a directory called
OurInternet.
The installed WinRT is not configured to receive emails, neither by Pop3 or by SMTP.
The installed WinRT does come with a version of emailrelay, and a version of fetchmail.
But somehow these are not running correctly.
Job :
Make a detailed description in English on how to manually install all the components needed and how to configure them, so that another outsourcer can make a installshield job from your description.
You should :
1) Make a woking installation of WinRT, that can send a receive emails on
windows as intended by BestPractical
2) Use whatever external opensource components needed, don't feel limited to use what is currently shipped in WinRt3.0.12
3) change paths so that everything is installed under c:program
filescompanyWinRt instead of c:program filesourinternet
4) Change the content of the RT web-pages to contain our Logo or the
text "WinRt 3.0.12 by us"
5) describe typical configurations that are not available though the RT
configuration page be configurable though the installer. This includes if the
mail should run as SMTP server or poll POP3, smtp-relay ipaddress etc.

I have read, and understand, your standard outsourcing requirements, and will be able to comply with them. I have experience in writing detailed manual installation guides, specifically a guide for the Defense Messaging System produced by Lockheed-Martin, which had an automatic installation that did not work. I should be able to produce an easy to understand manual installation guide for your product, and may even be able to create an installer for you. However this bid is for a manual installation guide only. Please contact me if you have any questions.
