Hi, We usually take pictures for reference and sculpt them in Zbrush for a high realistic poly model and make the model topology in Maya for rigging and animation. We can make a test or show some work done in Zbrush using Skype or a Record Video of the process to create it if you want.. I use rhino 5 , a precise modeling software which is based on nurbs modeling , so the models will be high quality , and I can export them to any other format that you want .
