I need a short 14th century poem translated from Greek to English. It has 18 lines, related to history. Maximum payment: $10. In your proposal say that you agree with the amount and translate a line example below, so that I know you have read this and possess good knowledge of Greek: Οτι ιδιους συναπολλυσι κακως παχτων Τριβαλλος . Or: Οτι δήους συναπολλυσι κακως παχτων Τριβαλλος . Τριβαλλος is the name of an ancient tribe ("Triballi") , here referring to Serbian people. Some find the line hard to translate, but the probable meaning should refer to Triballi (Serbs) who suffered because of their own fault, but at the same time made injuries to their enemies, as well.

Hi, I think there is an error in the verse that you provided, because I'm greek and as far as I know, there is no such word as "παχτων". Most probably it should be "πάντων". In that case the translation would be: Because Triballus takes down together with himself his own (people/soldiers) most of all (enemies). By the way, this verse is not 14th century, but most probably ancient script before Christ ;-) However, I do speak ancient greek, and I'm an American College graduate, so my english is pretty good as well. Moreover, I love history ;-) Thanks for looking at my bid.
