PHP programmer - web applications and utilities
To build custom web applications, I base on a PHP MVC framework (CodeIgniter - Laravel) for the server side. Most of those applications use an MySQL MariaDB database. For the client - browser - side, I use jQuery. I am more a programmer than a designer but I know enough of HTML and CSS to build the HTML of webpages based on Twitter Bootstrap and to customize CSS. I also write command line scripts that are used to automate processes. I build those scripts in core PHP or on top of a light PHP framework. Whether it is for building custom web applications or for writing utility scripts, I program with maintainability and security in mind and strive to comply with the "good practices" in the field. I am a Free, Open Source Software enthusiast. I am less active than in the past, but I still try to contribute to Free Open Source Software projects when I can.
