McDonald's test harness and service virtualization for eCommerce Platform. Testing of eCP 2.7.1. eCP – McDonald’s Delivery Service/Solution. As eCP was used by channel applications as a black box, without access to the actual data storages, the goal was to concentrate maximum effort on functional testing eCP from API level to the persistence layer and integration points (black-box). Majority of functional test cases of this type were performed on web service level, such as registering a new user or making an order. These test cases were executed on both mocked and integrated environments. Two test-runners were implemented, using the same set of test cases: Interactive runner to capture and visually approve system behavior and Headless runner - to execute test suite in Continuous Integration mode. There was service virtualization solution developed to effectively and efficiently test eCP in isolation.
