ALISON COSMETICS Alison Cosmetics is an online beauty store. Selling vegan skincare products and cosmetics that include lipsticks, eye-shadows, blushes, and eyeliners. They are well known for their limited edition subscription box where they sell several of their best-selling cosmetics in a curated package. The goal was to rebrand them and emphasize on their differentiators to make their products recognizable and more memorable. That's why I tried organic shapes with some bold colors to make it more attractive and counter-intuitive. The old colors of the brand were mostly soft colors, ranging from pinks to purples, so I tried to stay in that rang, with some complementary colors. Brand Story The Grind is a small coffee shop chain located in Seattle, WA with five locations, that prides itself on natural and local ingredients. It also has it own coffee beans brand. The biggest challenge was to convey the organic feel but also appeal as a high end brand in one mark! ​​​​​​​ Creative Direction We tried to create something that reflects the brand essence and feel, with a logo composed of an organic yet geometric shape, to convey the natural and local feel but also appeal as a professional business. Due to the excessive use of brown colors in a lot of coffee shop around Seattle and to stand out, we used the blue color derived from the color of the flag of Seattle for the coffee shop, and the orange for the coffee beans. Night'Art is an event focusing on the rising and unknown local artist. It's a celebration of the different forms of art as means of expression and unity, as well as a celebration of these talented artists who are striving to express themselves through their art and creations. Considering that this event celebrate different art forms, we had a goal in mind to create a dynamic and abstract identity that can easily fit in different situations and reshape itself yet maintain its recognizable elements.
