I've placed a few contests here over the past few months and I'm on a deadline this time, so I'll keep it brief.
The t-shirts are needed for a free promotion we're doing at one of our events next Friday and because of the last minute agenda, I'll be stuck with using vinyl as our usual vendor can't supply screenprinted shirts, that fast (at least not fitting our budget). I have a surplus of white vinyl and black t-shirts so why not keep it simple, eh?
USUALLY, I supply artwork we already have to give a feel of our "taste" but this time I'm leaving it up to the designers to illustrate what the business names mean to them (you can choose whichever one you can illustrate more efficiently).
If you've missed my previous contests, the business names are "The Usual Suspectz Music" and "Tee's: Nutz". Having the actual words in the design would be cool BUT we're really looking for an illustrated representation, so words alone will not fly this round.
Use your own discretion on where you want to go with this! May the best (wo)man win!
PS. NO STOCK ART WHATSOEVER! We've had a few people throw together stock images in the past, NOT COOL.

Hi Darina, sorry the event is Friday and I'll need the 2 days to size, cut and apply the designs so the deadline for this particular contest is Tuesday. I'm always looking for fresh, original designs though for all different types of apparel, with multiple applications in mind (screen printing, vinyl and even embroidery). If for whatever reason you can't meet the deadline but can create an original design, that'd appeal to our target market, you could always send a low res watermarked version to me directly w/ pricing if you'd like? cj@theusualsuspectzmusic.com

Robin, I like the design as a whole but it's extremely generic, in the sense that it could relate to dozens upon dozens of topics yet not relate directly to anything. I'm looking for a promotional design, so I want followers and potential followers alike to look at the image and think to themselves "I get it". There has to be some level of connection, directly to one of the brands and I'm not seeing it there.

Our website is in the process of being rebuilt so it's missing a lot of our content but it should have enough material to get a feeling of who we are and what we represent. I actually have a nerdcore artist on my roster, so it might actually appeal to his liking. He's out of town on business for the weekend so I can't consult with him until he's back but I'd hold onto it just in case :)

I'm leaving it up to the designers discretion. If you wanna illustrate me/us, that's cool, if not that's cool too. Example: For "The Usual Suspectz Music" we have an extremely realistic illustration of a man in plain clothes, with his hands behind his back, in handcuffs holding a microphone. To me, that is POWERFUL.We're all innocent until proven guilty, until then we're simply suspects. "Tee's: Nutz:" is much less political/much more playful. I couldn't see it getting too much more detailed than a squirrels face smiling with the words on his grill/chain. The art behind both company's is that they're up to the consumers perspective, so I'm leaving it up to the designer to depict the names as they see fit.

I may potentially pay for multiple designs, assuming I like and would use them all. I'm paying $100 for each design, only one is necessary though.
