Background: I am fascinated by how cultures merge, clash, contrast, compliment, and influence one another. Asia is one of the most profound examples of this very fluid dynamic. Recently, I was in Korea and, while walking around Seoul, had Bob Seger's Night Moves stuck in my head. I had the idea of creating a Bob Seger/ Night Moves type T-Shirt expect with Korean writing because it would be: 1) a nice memory of my time in Korea and 2) a cool/unique symbol of two different cultural points unexpectedly thrown together.
Design: Take out the English in the attached photograph, substitute Korean, then maybe underneath the photo a subscript of a lyric from the song "Strange how the night moves" or "workin' on our night moves". I envision printing this shirt with one ink color with the distressed or faded look, so a challenge is finding the right way to soften Bob Seger in the image - not sure how to do that, would like to hear suggestions. Finally, I realize there is a lot of creative capital out there and would love to hear some other ideas that might make it a great shirt.
