Android App - News, Video, & Podcast (RSS)

Seeking a Android programmer to produce app that displays news stories, videos, and podcasts from our website's RSS feed. We've created a similar iPhone app (Insurance Journal app on the iTunes store) and a functional Android prototype in .swf, but we need it ported to Java so it can be released on the Android market.

Here's an overview of the tasks:

1. Android application structure

1.1. Create Main application structure and logic

1.2. Create three navigational buttons on a horizontal bar at the bottom of the app

1.3. Create the RSS Feed parser functions to break the RSS content down and store it in a useable format

2. News Screen

2.1. On selection of the News navigational button transition to a new screen, load the categories from the feed parser and display categories

2.2. On selection of a category transition to a new screen, load the stories from the feed parser, display the category title at the top of the application and display stories in that category

2.3. On selection of a specific story transition to a new screen, load the content and display the story text

Video Screen

3.1. On selection of the Video navigational button transition to a new screen, load the categories from the feed parser and display categories

3.2. On selection of a category transition to a new screen, load the videos from the feed parser, display the category title at the top of the application and display videos in that category(text and thumbnail image)

3.3. On selection of a specific video item, transition to a new screen, call the media player applet in a frame inside the feed reader, display the controls (Start, Stop, Progress Bar) and begin playback

4. Podcast Screen

4.1. On selection of the Podcast navigational button transition to a new screen, load the categories from the feed parser and display categories –

4.2. On selection of a category transition to a new screen, load the podcasts from the feed parser, display the category title at the top of the application and display podcasts in that category(text and thumbnail image) –

4.3. On selection of a specific podcast item, transition to a new screen, call the media player applet in a frame inside the feed reader, display the controls (Start, Stop, Progress Bar) and begin playback

5. Animated transitions

5.1. Animated transition with slide up from bottom when selecting News, Video or Podcast

5.2. Animated transition with slide in from right when selecting a category –
