Data Gathering and transfer over https

I require an application that will at scheduled times, run several queries against a MS SQL database. The data it receives will then be archived (zipped), and transferred over an SSL connection to an https server. A script waiting on the server will recieve the upload, extract it and process the data.

## Deliverables

The queries will be run against the MSSQL server will return quite large datasets (50,000+ rows), temporary files maybe used, but the application will need to cleanup.

The application should read the MSSQL server name and details from a registry key or ini file. The password should be encrypted some how. A way to encode and store the sql password should be included in the application.

Ideally the application would install as a service on Windows 2008 and Windows 2003 server. The application will then at specified time, run the queries, zip the data, and transfer over the internet to the https server.

Data transfer MUST be over SSL, and should be robust. If the connection is terminated or transfer fails. The application should realise this and attempt to resend. It would be useful if a logfile could be kept to show any errors.

The application will be run automatically "Unattended", and therefore should not require any user intervention, or cause problems with things like UAC on Windows 2008/7.

If you need to use any third party components. I will need to know what they are first.

From time to time, the queries may change, so I will require compilable source should these need to be changed in future. Alternatively they could be stored outside of the application.

You will not have access to the data source for security reasons. So will need to have your own test environment while developing.
