Overview:
We are looking for an AWS Migration Expert to efficiently transition our current NodeJs application from a shared hosting environment to Amazon Web Services. The application is still in the development phase with no current user base. The focus will be on minimizing the operational costs while ensuring scalability and performance, targeting an optimal monthly expenditure around $20.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate the current NodeJs application infrastructure and plan a seamless migration to AWS.
Configure AWS services to maintain minimal costs, with a specific target of approximately $20/month, adjusting as necessary for any scale or demand changes.
Ensure the setup is secure, scalable, and meets the application's developmental needs.
Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize the resources to stay within the desired cost range.
Document the migration process, settings, and strategies used for cost optimization.
Qualifications:
Solid experience with AWS, particularly in cost-effective deployments and migrations.
Proficiency in managing NodeJs applications and understanding of shared hosting environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost-saving strategies.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet project deadlines.
Note:
This role requires a detailed understanding of AWS pricing and services to ensure the application runs efficiently while incurring minimal costs. Your expertise in cost analysis and optimization in the AWS environment will be a critical factor in our selection.
