Project Description

I am looking to find all the subsidiaries and brands for all the Fortune 1000 companies.

I will supply a list of F1000 companies and their websites. You will take that list and go find all the subsidiaries and brands.

Many F1000 companies do not have significant numbers of subsidiaries or separate brands. Example: Apple. Other companies, however, do. Example: Proctor & Gamble.

Your job is to go to those companies' websites and find the brands and/or subsidiaries, and report on them to me, in Excel. I will also supply an Excel spreadsheet with the data I need from each:

- name of subsidiary and/or brand

- URL of subsidiary and/or brand (if different than parent company)

The Excel spreadsheet will be clear about how/where to enter that information. Add rows with the F1000 company name for each of the subsidiaries (see EXAMPLE on first tab of the attached spreadsheet).

The best way to do this will be to go to the company URL (provided in the spreadsheet) and then look for:

- about us

- corporate information

- our brands

- our websites

- global divisions

- press releases/analyst statements

... or similar language ...

You will have to be smart and figure some things out. There is no one, simple, structured way to get all this data.
