Fix Production Bug for React Quill WYSIWYG Editor

I have a Rails app that lets users answer questions in a WYSIWYG editor. I'm using the react-rails gem on a single page that displays a separate instance of the editor for each question response. The editor is using quill js ([login to view URL]) which is implemented with the react-quill node package.

It is working in development, but I cannot get it to work in production on Heroku. The errors logged in the browser console are not very helpful so it will most likely require incremental changes to isolate the problem. Obviously there is a difference between how the app is compiled in production vs development. There currently is no Procfile. Maybe specific settings there would be a way to handle it.

I'm out of ideas so I'm looking for help debugging this.
