Create a World Tree, illuminated by moonlight at night. The tree should serve as both a symbol of nature and as a place where the people of this land live. Thus, it should have lit rooms or hanging houses and signs of activity around the tree. The desired image will serve as a rendering of the final destination of a challenging journey in a fantasy land. The colors should be dark but inspiring, not gloomy or creepy. Lots of lamps of various colors hung around the tree would help give it a festive atmosphere despite the night. The tree itself should be massive almost beyond imagination.
I have attached an image that captures some of the spirit of the desired image although this is more forbidding than I would like. That is, the view of the tree should be similar to that in the image attached but with a clear pathway to the base of the tree and there should be a sense of celebration. The adventurer should have nearly arrived and no barriers should bar his or her path (no stormy seas as in the attached image). Dramatic clouds in the background are appropriate but not necessarily stormy and forbidding as those shown in the sample image.
