348280 calculate cost on order form

Hi,

I need a javascript written to update the amounts on my order form depending on what options the new client chooses.

It MUST work in all browsers. Please test it for me.

You do not need to write the perl/php code to actually handle form submission.

I need a javascript that will determine the COST in the "planlength" select field depending on what

plan and number of seat licenses a new client chooses. This must work on the fly, and the 1 year

"planlength" option must be set as default.

Please allow me to set the price variables somewhere within the top of the code.

In addition, also please set a hidden variable named "COST" to the calculated amount.

Here is the example order form.

Here are the variables and the calculations that need to be done:

FIELD: plantype

Options:

livesupport

livesupportpro

livesupport = $24.95 for first license

$14.95 for additional licenses

livesupportpro = $44.95 for first license

$19.95 for additional licenses

FIELD: seats

Options: 1-100

FIELD: planlength

Options: 12 Months Discount 20%

6 Months Discount 10%

3 Months

1 Month

Therefore, here are 2 example calculations.

Client signs up for livesupportpro plan with 1 licenses for 6 months.

($44.95 *6)*90% = $242.73

Client signs up for livesupport plan with 5 licenses for 1 year.

(($24.95 + ($14.95 x 4))*12)*80% = $813.60
