I have a MERN project that will use i18n to make it multi lingual. I would like to automate the translation process as there will be many languages.
I would like a script that uses the i18n missingKeyHandler with Google Translate API to fetch new translation of texts that exist in the English file but not in other language files and then adds them to each language file with the token used for the English text. This script can be triggered manually by admin each time the English file is updated and should run for all other language files without further prompting (ie, it will not require an operator to run for each language.
Texts will be short and simple, so in most cases this will be good enough. Over time translations can be manually corrected as needed.
Sometimes the English text for an established token will change, in this case the script above wont update the other languages as the text will already exists in each language file and will appropriately be ignored. I need a work around for this situation that forces the replacement of the existing text, I assume this can be done with a modified version of the above script. It can be run on a per token basis to force the update of just that token.
