Write a library in C

The successful freelancer will write a library in C that will be used in a mobile application for both iOS and Android. The final deliverable may be either a single library compatible with both operating systems or two libraries each specifically designed for iOS and Android.

The job is to create a C library that can successfully replicate a mathematical model I have developed in Microsoft excel. The spreadsheet generally follows a left-to-right calculation from inputs through calculation and to the final output. Most of the formulas and calculation steps should translate well to a programming language like C; however there are several nested IF statements that may need to be untangled and possibly separated into additional variables. Additionally one formula relies on ATAN2 (arctangent function). As a requirement to be selected, please confirm that your program can incorporate ATAN2. As an additional incentive, I will determine a bonus for any substantive improvements in efficiency of calculation over the current process.

So in all this project has a very simple premise: I will provide the spreadsheet with the calculations and you will provide the library or libraries that can perform the calculations with the given inputs. In order for all funds to be released, the programmer must successfully demonstrate that the library can perform the calculations; screenshots in a development environment of the program performing the calculations with test inputs I provide will suffice for this. The source code in its entirety will be provided to and owned by me.

To ensure that this proposal has been read by the freelancer, please provide an answer to the following question in your response: Some of the variables outlined in the spreadsheet need to come from the application level. Others are specific to the individual record being processed. In your response, please tell me your approach to handling each type.

Finally, as a part of this proposal please include 10 hours of additional support in your quote for tweaks and bug fixes. This is in case the developers of the app encounter any difficulties using the library.
