.doc file to txt file converting issue

Hello there, I've a html upload form where user can upload doc, docx, xls, pdf file. After that I just converting this uploaded files to text format to save into mysql database.
Well, it's successfully save to db but .doc extension file is not converting to text format to save into db AND if the .doc document have only one word e.g Hello there then also it's not converting to text format to save into db.
Again if I write one line sentence in this .doc document then in database it's showing different characters text e.g. sdjfsdljflsdjfweoriuslkdfjs;dlfj :( I don't know what is the problem in this .doc converting function.
If you can give me that simple solution on this doc function then BID on this project.
I don't think it's take an hour so bid accordingly.
