We spend a lot of time looking at things. Some beautiful, some ugly, but no matter what we see, it is time well spent. When we gaze upon something beautiful, we take that beauty into ourselves.
Why do some things appeal to us more than other things? We like the things we do because it reveals itself to us through an image. A simple, white chair appeals to us because of its honesty. It is a simple chair, and it knows it. It doesn't lie to us, or pretend to be a throne worthy of gods, because it's not. We love the stuff we do because the creator reveals itself through their intent.
Don't stop trying. There's much we don't know and being content means the end of progress. We must design for humanity, with sentiment. Look upon everything and see both sides of the problem, don't just focus on the bad and don't just focus on the good. Be honest and love yourself so others can love you too.
