Alex put in a very low bid for this project so, despite my misgivings and the obvious risk in awarding the project to him, I did so mainly because he said he would use it as part of a training tool for his students. The fact that the project was 0% delivered did not, therefore, come us much of a surprise, but what disappointed me most was that it took Alex over two months to tell me that he was unable to do the work. What was a fairly relaxed project has, thus, become time-critical and involved me in associated costs and delays. I need hardly say that I would not employ Alex again.
