I forecasted and modeled macroeconomic data such as inflation, GDP, business, and consumer sentiment as well as commodity prices on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Using machine learning to construct algorithms, I equally forecasted currency pairs and wrote thematic research on global house prices, monetary policy, and labor market economic for Europe. This research was used by private investors, central banks, and corporate investors, supported by regular presentations.

This paper analyses the fallout to the real economy and fiscal measures implemented by governments to reduce the externalities stemming from COVID-19. It finds that capital flow dynamics during the pandemic have amplified the adverse effects of higher credit spreads on domestic exchange rates.

The paper uses a data-driven approach to make actionable recommendations that will at once reduce the impact of the virus on the economy and place economic growth on a more sustainable trajectory.
