Alcohol abuse is a drinking pattern that results in significant and recurrent adverse consequences. Alcohol abusers may fail to perform satisfactorily in school, work, or family obligations. They may have drinking related legal problems too. Moderate and heavy/binge alcohol drinking among college students have become a major public health issue. patterns of alcohol consumption range between continents and countries (WHO, 2014)

Alcohol consumption is an important public health concern and a leading cause of global suffering (WHO, 2009). Research suggests that the problem of drinking has multiple causes, with genetic, physiological, and social factors all playing a role. For some alcohol abusers, psychosocial traits such as impulsiveness, low self-esteem and a need for approval prompt inappropriate drinking patterns and abuse.
