Over the last 10 years, I have developed a robust set of skills in the field of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing. Being a Ph.D. in biogeographic sciences I implemented GIS technologies in any aspect of my research and projects I have done. During my career, I have developed excellent quantitative skills and a high degree of comfort working with spatial and non-spatial data and web technologies. I'm a self-motivated learner with a willingness to take on new challenges as required. As a GIS specialist I have the following proficiency - Ability to perform complex spatial analysis - Advance Geo-processing especially with QGIS, ArcGIS, and Google Earth Engine, extensive experience in designing and querying databases. - Data visualization and design, I like using some additional software to make better GIS layouts, with Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw. - In Remote Sensing field majority of work I have done related to Landsat/Sentinel as well as aerial photography data starting with different types of classification to calculating deforestation and crop analysis with vegetation indices (NVDI, NDWI, SAVI, MAVI, etc.). I'm comfortable working with SNAP, ENVI, Erdas Imagine software. - Working with GPS/CAD data is fast with GIS especially when I'm using python scripts for a large set of data to automate processes.
