My more than 20 years' experience has equipped me with the skills to competently prepare virtually any manuscript for its final intended purpose. This includes proofreading, light editing, detailed copyediting and formatting according to MLA, APA and Chicago or other styles. I also have researched multiple topics on the internet and am familiar with various search engines.
I have worked with authors from the first drafts of their books through publication, sometimes also advising on situations involving publishing houses and other circumstances. I have also prepared doctoral theses for submission.
My publishing credits comprise several essays included in "Mothers' Day 2000,"
approximately fifteen devotions in various Advent devotional guides, "Financial Procedures Manual" and state and local newsletter articles.
I am proficient on MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe PageMaker, as well as use of the internet and search engines.
Diligence, details and deadlines are three of my watchwords. I enjoy my job and am a hard worker. A successful freelancer, especially a writer/editor, must be particularly conscious of details and of deadlines. Without this meticulousness, a person may be able to complete a job, but she is not a professional.
