I'm looking for someone to create a book cover for me which will work on both kindle (ebook) and Createspace (print cover). The cover is not to contain any copyrighted material and before any cover is awarded as the winner, the designer of that cover will be asked where the images came from.
For the print cover, the book is going to be 275 cream colored pages and the size will be 5x8.
Book title: Redirecting Billy
Author's name: JR Thompson (to be spelled exactly as it is written - no dots after the letters and both the J and the R being capitalized.)
Also to appear on the cover: Worthy Battle Series - book 2
Blurb for back of print cover: Pickpocketing an off-duty police officer isn't the brightest idea, but then again, neither is trying to convince people he's in a gang. At fourteen years of age, Billy is making a mess of his life and he's too much for his single mother to handle.
Fortunately, he meets up with a probation officer by the name of Philip Bones who has a heart for struggling youth. Mr. Bones makes Billy his number one priority. But can he make a strong enough impact to change the teenager's life?
Author bio for back cover (there will not be an author photo on the cover): Christian novelist JR Thompson, and his wife Hannah, are residents of Montana. He writes fiction and maintains a blog on his website. None of Thompson's writings contain any foul language.

Important helps for backcover design:
Billy is 14 years old and he is black. If your image is of a boy who looks like he's 5 or is of a boy of a different race, your cover will not be selected.
I visualize Billy as having a silver or gold chain around his neck and wearing clothing that resembles something a gang member might wear (not shirtless). (This is optional, but would be ideal)

The appearance of a book cover often makes or breaks a book. I'm looking for a cover that looks like a best seller. Show me your best work! (I'm impressed with creativity... including amazing fonts, and awesome layering skills)
I am also impressed with originality. Please submit your own ideas - not just trying to improve upon an entry someone else submits.
If you do not know how to create both a createspace print cover and a kindle ebook cover or if you're not willing to disclose where you obtained your images (so I can make sure it's not copyrighted material), please do not submit any entries for this project.
Furthermore, if you aren't willing to work for this price, there is no need to post anything on my dashboard. Doing this is a wonderful way to guarantee your comment will be deleted and to ensure you will not be considered for any new projects I post.

Sorry you ran out of time to get your entry in. I have already selected another winner. However, I did look at the cover you designed and it looks great. I really love the font you used for Billy's name - that is awesome! I was also impressed with the way you set up the author section on the back cover. Please feel free to submit entries for any future contests I post. Thanks again for trying to get it in before the contest ended. :-)

Wow! You folks are absolutely amazing! I love your talent, hard work, and effort you're putting into trying to win this contest. It is very difficult to decide on a favorite, but out of the entries received so far, I believe I know which one I would pick. I'm not going to give that away right now... but I will tell you how I narrowed it down: 1) I looked to make sure the boy was the right age and race, 2) I looked at the fonts and background to see if they looked professional, 3) I compared each cover to the cover of Rebuilding Alden - the first book in the series - to see if the two books complimented one another (in other words to see if I thought they looked like they were a part of the same series)... I'm not going to stop the contest early. I'm going to wait for any more entries folks may be working on. But if nothing changes, I have a winner selected in my mind. :-)
