竞赛简介

Gilmore Park is a progressive congregation that is passionate about serving the community, social justice and the environment. We are located on the west coast just south of Vancouver just near the ocean and a major river. We are looking for revival and new life, building on tradition, which is declining.

Simple but colourful. Should look good in greyscale as well. We are Christian so a cross should be included but should not be the focal point of the design.
Nature & people are more important than buildings or religious symbols.
The “Gilmore” of Gilmore Park should be clear and easiest to read with “United Church” acting as a subtitle.

The nurse log (a small tree/plant growing out of a large fallen log) is a powerful image we would like to explore as a symbol of new life being fed and nurtured by the old.

We would like to work primarily with the image of a nurse log. A fallen log or stump from which a small shoot/shoots are growing, indicating movement and growth. Also some moving water underneath.

    We appreciate all your submissions and your creativity. We reject submissions that are essentially copies of others' designs unless there is a significant innovation. Although we have focused on one concept we like, we are open to new ideas that fit our description and would welcome unique submissions. Ideally we would like to choose between 2 - 4 unique concepts that we like.
