<Overview>
Please collect product information on vehicles that have or will have the technologies described in the “Technology Description” section below.

<Technology Description>
This technology is designed to allow the update data downloaded from the OTA center (server) to the vehicle to be reused when the software update is resumed, even if the software update of the vehicle using OTA (a technology that transmits and receives data via wireless communication) is interrupted.
　When software to be updated has been installed in an ECU with a single bank memory (a memory with only one area for storing data), if the software update fails, the ECU will not be able to operate later as the software update is interrupted while data is being overwritten. Therefore, the software update must be restarted as soon as possible after the interruption.
　To solve this problem, this technology keeps the update data until the OTA software update is successfully completed after the vehicle downloads the updated data from the center, and deletes the updated data after it is successfully completed. With this technology, the already downloaded update data can be used when the software update is resumed. It is possible to restart the software update quickly after the interruption as the need to download the update data again from the center is eliminated. Investigate this technology in this issue.
