achieve a MITM function

under Linux, a MITM device, Internet---gateway---Client. running MITM attack on gateway.

function requirement: replace download exe files to specific files when client downloads from internet. that meas, when client download exe file from a website [url removed, login to view], then gateway will replace it with own file [url removed, login to view]

maybe its need apache and some other tools to do this.
