We want a script to create random data entries for a MySQL server table. Script language is up to the Freelancer, we thought perhaps Phyton, but needs to be a script that can be run on a small linux server.
The script has to check a MySQL server table if the existing amount of data entries is too low. This is done with a simple SQL SELECT COUNT.
If the amount is too low it needs to pull "fantasy names" for a game from a remote server using SOAP or XML-RPC (we already have an example phyton script for it). Afterwards it needs to add a password consisting of the username and a random number, an email adress (we have defined array of domains to be added to the username), and a random birthday in yyyy-mm-dd format. Finally these generated data needs to be INSERTed into an existing MySQL table. The script should write about 100 new entries everytime it runs.
There needs to be a check of the "fantasy name" to avoid special chars like -,/ and the database only accepts UNIQUE "fantasy names". MySQL schema is available.
If the selected programming language is "exotic", we need a basic installation guide for Debian (apt-get).
