I am looking for expert who can help to create or find solution for COM free registration for a few dlls which are provided by 3rd parties. Attached are the sample VB.net 2008 project which I created with a window form of 3 buttons as follow :

1) Test Enventus

which calls the vb.net [url removed, login to view], where this dotnet dll has reference of the COM dll named '[url removed, login to view]'

2) Test Paramet

which calls the vb.net [url removed, login to view], where this dotnet dll has reference of the COM dll named '[url removed, login to view]'

3) Test From VB6

which reference to VB6 DLL, name '[url removed, login to view]' which reference to another active X library '[url removed, login to view]' in the VB6 environment.

The Vb.net project I created called Registration [url removed, login to view], the complication is I make all the dotnet DLL externally and modular, where each individual DLL take cares of individual COM libraries.

If you unzip the attachments you will find below folders :

1) bin --- This is the compiled EXE of Registration Free.exe. Inside this folder, there is a sub-folder called 'dlls' where I keep all the COM libraries, interops, etc.

2) Enventus -- This is the dotnet DLL 'Enventus' project folder

3) Paramet -- This is the dotnet DLL '[url removed, login to view]' project folder

4) Registration Free -- This is the core project folder ( source code ) for Registration [url removed, login to view]

5) VB6 -- This is the VB6 project folder of [url removed, login to view]

In the 'dlls' sub-folder under 'bin', I created 3 batch file for your convenient :

1) [url removed, login to view] --- This register all the 4 COM dll libraries

2) registerdll - wo - [url removed, login to view] -- This register only 3 COM dll libraries. Exclude CoilPac3.dll. It is used to verify if manifest can be created up to the level of VB6

3) [url removed, login to view] -- This is to unregister all the 4 COM Libraries.

Proof of Delivery :

1) Click all the 3 buttons and pop up ONLY a success message box. You will need to unregister all the DLL first using the batch file [url removed, login to view]

2) The same success message boxes shall appear in Vista, Window 7, Window 8, Window 8.1 32-bit and 64-bit environment.

3) I need some simple guideline on how you manage to produce the manifest, for example, set 'Isolate' property to TRUE, etc ...

Since these DLLs are from our supplier, I would demand the project handler keep these files confidential and not to be distributed to any other parties.

The Registration [url removed, login to view] is compiled in x86, Dotnet Framework 2.0 SP1. You are not allowed to change these settings. However, in the case that only different settings can make these project a success, please inform me and give me the reason for it. You are however, allowed to modify the project source code such as embed the manifest, or whichever method. The final objective is to ensure these dlls are registration free.

It has been a big issue for window registration of DLL since Window Vista, 7, 8 are introduced.

Thank you
