Grasshopperfund is a startup marketplace and rewards-based crowdfunding platform where we help youth-led startups build community before raising capital, offering opportunities to build, support, and join startups.
Grasshopperfund was created by founders, for founders. We’re a team of UC Irvine students dedicated to giving young entrepreneurs a head start in bringing their ideas to life while leveling the playing field.
Rewards-Based Crowdfunding will build on top of the existing Grasshopperfund Back-end and Front-end Web Applications to implement third-party payment processing. The entire implementation will be contained in our existing codebase and shall not create a separate application.
The biggest challenge of this project is the full stack implementation of a third-party payment processor to facilitate the collection and payment of crowdfunding funds. The third-party payment processor of choice is Stripe, due to its popularity, ease of implementation, widespread language support, and comprehensive documentation. This project is in need of the talent to provide the know-how of the implementation.
